Methods of pronunciation practice and elimination of pronunciation errors in German as a second foreign language in pupils at the 4-year and 8-year Gymnasium

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis deals with German pronunciation and the main topic is the correct pronunciation. It consists of two parts. In the theoretical part, the German language system is described mainly from the point of view of phonetics and phonology as an integral part of the acquisition of a foreign language. Emphasis is placed on the typical pronunciation errors of Czech native speakers. The second empirical part deals with qualitative research, which examines whether there are more pronunciation errors in pupils of 8-year Gymnasium, or pupils of 4-year Gymnasium. The aim of this thesis is to find out whether and to what extent German teachers in teaching German as a second foreign language pay attention to the correct pronunciation of their pupils at the 4 year and 8-year Gymnasium in Hustopeče near Brno and what is the total occurrence of pronunciation errors in pupils.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá německou výslovností a jejím hlavním tématem je správná výslovnost. BP se skládá ze dvou částí. V teoretické části je popsán systém německého jazyka především z pohledu fonetiky a fonologie jako nedílné součásti osvojování si cizího jazyka. Důraz je kladen hlavně na typické výslovnostní chyby českých rodilých mluvčích. Druhá empirická část se zabývá kvalitativním výzkumem, ve kterém je zkoumáno, zda se vyskytuje více výslovnostních chyb u žáků 8letého gymnázia, anebo u žáků 4letého gymnázia. Cílem BP je zjistit, zda a do jaké míry věnují učitelé ve výuce NJ jako druhého cizího jazyka pozornost správné výslovnosti u svých žáků 4letého a 8letého gymnázia v Hustopečích u Brna a jaký je celkový výskyt výslovnostních chyb u žáků.
