Virgin Mary and the Models of Marian Concept Presented in Pagan Cults of the Ancient World
Abstract:
Práce se zabývá problematikou návaznosti Mariánského kultu na kulty antických bohyní. Hlavní částí práce je sledování raného vývoje mariánské úcty a pohledu na osobu Panny Marie pomocí studia biblických a apokryfních textů. V závěru je nastíněna problematika pokřesťanšťování z obecného hlediska.
Abstract:
The essay deals with the continutity of Marian cult with ancient cults of pagan goddesses. The main part of the essay watch on the early developement of the Marian cult and the perspectives to the personality of Virgin Mary with the help of a study of biblical and apocryphal texts. In the end of the work it is studied the problems of Christianizing of pagan cults from the general point of view.
