The position of the European Central Bank in financial crisis

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis deals with the role and the steps the European Central Bank at the time of a financial crisis, in order to outline a possible solution in the form of a uniform mechanism for oversight by the European Central Bank. The first chapter contains a theoretical determination of the issues in which I focused mainly on the nature and instruments of monetary policy and the position of the European Central Bank. The second and third chapter are the empirical part, wherein the second section comprises the steps the European Central Bank to diminish the impact of the financial crisis, and the third part describes a possible solution in the form of a uniform mechanism for oversight by the European Central Bank.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá postavením a krokmi Európskej centrálnej banky v čase súčasne finančnej krízy, s cieľom načrtnúť možné riešenie v podobe jednotného mechanizmu dohľadu Európskou centrálnou bankou. Prvá kapitola obsahuje teoretické vymedzenie problematiky, v ktorej som sa zameral predovšetkým na podstatu a nástroje menovej politiky a na postavenie Európskej centrálnej banky. Druhá a tretia kapitola sú empirickou časťou práce, kde druhá kapitola obsahuje kroky Európskej centrálnej banky na tlmenie dopadov finančnej krízy a v tretej časti práce popisujem možné riešenie v podobe jednotného mechanizmu dohľadu Európskou centrálnou bankou.
