Intergenerational communication between beginning teachers and parents of students

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem „Mezigenerační komunikace začínajících učitelů s rodiči žáků“ se zaměřuje na to, jaká je komunikace mladých začínajících učitelů a rodičů jejich žáků. Diplomová práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část popisuje poznatky z odborné literatury, které se zabývají charakteristikou začínajícího učitele a komunikace. Konkrétně se teoretická práce zaobírá vývojem učitele a problémy, které se pojí s učiteli na začátku jejich profesní dráhy. Dále se teorie zabývá pedagogickou komunikací nebo možnostmi komunikace, ale také chybami v komunikaci, které se kvůli začátečnické nejistotě mohou nejen u učitelů objevovat. Praktická část je tvořena výzkumným šetřením, které bylo provedeno za pomocí rozhovorů se začínajícími učiteli na druhém stupni. Cílem výzkumu bylo zjistit, jaká je komunikace mezi učiteli a rodiči, kteří jsou mnohdy až o generaci starší než právě zkoumaní učitelé.

Abstract:

The thesis "Intergenerational communication between beginning teachers and parents of students" focuses on communication of young beginning teachers and parents of students. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the finding from scientific literature, which deal with the characteristics of a beginning teacher and communication. Specifically the theoretical part deal with development of teachers and challenges at the beginning of their professional career. Furthermore, the theory deals with pedagogical communication or possibilities of communication, but also communication errors that may occur due the uncertainty of a beginning teacher. The practical part consist of a research survey, which was done through interviews with beginning secondary education teachers which was done through interviews with beginning teachers. The aim of the research was to find out what is the communication between teachers and parents, who are often up to a generation older than the researched teachers.
