Factors affecting the efficiency of sow reproductive performance

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce bylo hodnotit vybrané faktory působící na efektivitu reprodukce prasnic. Pozornost byla konkrétně zaměřena na vliv živé hmotnosti, věku a výšky hřbetního tuku prasniček při první inseminaci na určité reprodukční parametry. V literárním přehledu jsou popsány faktory jako je výživa, technologie ustájení, tělesná dospělost a význam hřbetního tuku ve vztahu k hodnoceným aspektům. Byl sledován soubor 110 prasniček TN70, u kterých byla při první inseminaci zjištěna průměrná živá hmotnost 149,25 kg ± 12,36, průměrný věk 256,73 dní ± 17,69 a průměrná výška hřbetního tuku 13,75 mm ± 2,23. Statisticky významný rozdíl byl prokázán v případě vlivu živé hmotnosti u počtu všech narozených selat (p = 0,015) a počtu živě narozených selat (p = 0,045). Dále byl potvrzen vliv výšky hřbetního tuku na počet všech narozených selat (p = 0,011), počet živě narozených selat (p = 0,039) a počet odstavených selat (p = 0,031). Vliv věku nebyl vyhodnocen jako statisticky významný. Míra zabřezávání prasniček na první paritě činila 93,22 %. Celkové ztráty selat od narození do odstavu byly 4,27 %.

Abstract:

The aim of master thesis was to evaluate factors which affect the efficiency of sow performance. Specifically, the attention was focused on influence of body weight, age and backfat thickness at the first insemination of gilts on chosen parameters. In literature review factors as nutrition, technology of housing, puberty and importance of backfat thickness were described. The group of 110 gilts TN70 was observed. The average body weight of gilts at first insemination was 149,25 kg ± 12,36, the mean of age was 256,73 days ± 17,69 and the average of backfat thickness was 13,75 mm ± 2,23. According to statistical analysis the impact of body weight was determined in total born piglets (p = 0,015) and number of piglets born alive (p = 0,045). Also, the influence of backfat thickness was proven in case of total born piglets (p = 0,011), number of piglets born alive (p = 0,039) and number of weaned piglets (p = 0,031). The impact of age at the first insemination on reproductive performance was not statistically significant. The conception rate of gilts was 93,22 %. Pre-weaning piglets mortality took on values 4,27 %.
