The diploma thesis deals with epidural analgesia in vaginal birth. It is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part of the work defines labor pain and non-pharmacological and pharmacological methods of its suppression, deals with epidural analgesia and the role of the anesthetist nurse.
