Impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the provision of social services in a shelter for women and children

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou poskytování služeb v azylových domech pro matky s dětmi a jejich změnami za doby Covidových opatření. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí, přičemž v teoretické části budou popsány sociální služby jakožto forma pomoci v nepříznivé životní situaci a dále pak jednotlivě nepříznivé situace charakterizovány. Práce se dále věnuje problematice sociálního bydlení, ve které se již vymezují Azylové domy v České republice, jejich legislativa a druhy. Azylové domy pro matky s dětmi jsou charakterizovány v následující kapitole, která popisuje cílovou skupinu a metody práce s klienty tohoto zařízení. V závěru teoretické části jsou vymezena jednotlivá Covidová opatření, která měla největší dopad na poskytování sociálních služeb, jejichž součástí je i časová osa těchto opatření. Praktickou část práce tvoří kvalitativní výzkum, který probíhal formou strukturovaných rozhovorů se zaměstnanci a klienty vybraných Azylových domů na téma poskytování služeb v průběhu proticovidových opatření.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of providing services in shelters for mothers with children and their changes during the Covid measures. The work consists of two parts, while the theoretical part describes social services as a form of assistance in an unfavorable life situation and then individually characterizes the unfavorable situation. The work also deals with the issue of social housing, which already defines the Asylum Houses in the Czech Republic, their legislation and types. Shelters for mothers with children are characterized in the following chapter, which describes the target group and methods of working with clients of this facility. At the end of the theoretical part, the individual covid measures are defined, which had the greatest impact on the provision of social services, which include the timeline of these measures. The practical part of the work consists of qualitative research, which took place in the form of structured interviews with employees and clients of selected shelters on the topic of providing services during anti-covid measures.
