Composition of a chapter for a secondary school textbook of chemistry

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje vytvoření tří středoškolských učebních textů z organické chemie na téma karbonylové sloučeniny, funkční deriváty karboxylových kyselin a syntetické polymery. Učební texty obsahují kromě teoretického výkladu množství řešených úloh, příkladů k procvičování učiva a otázek k zamyšlení. Dále je text doplněn o motivační pasáže, fotografie a další zajímavosti. Kromě učebních textů byla v rámci práce vytvořena příručka pro učitele, která obsahuje množství dalších příkladů k jednotlivým kapitolám, návody k laboratorním cvičením a demonstračním pokusům a další zajímavosti k danému učivu. Učební texty i učitelské příručky byly použity při výuce na středních školách a následně zhodnoceny učiteli i jejich žáky pomocí dotazníků. Práce prezentuje výsledky dotazníkového šetření.

Abstract:

This thesis contains three chapters of textbook for secondary school from the field of organic chemistry. Chapters are focused on carbonyl compounds, functional derivatives of carboxylic acids and synthetic polymers. Chapters contain in addition to the presentation of information many exemplary exercises, exercises for practising the topic and some motivational questions. The presentation of information includes motivational parts, pictures and other interesting information related to the topic. Apart from textbooks I created also teacher's handbooks which contain a lot of exercises for each chapter, instructions for laboratory exercises and demonstration experiments and other interesting information dealing with the topic. Textbooks and teacher's handbooks were used during tuition at secondary schools, afterwards evaluated by teachers and students using questionnaires. Thesis presents results of the survey.
