V práci Okázalá maskulinita se věnuji porovnání ekonomicky pojatého konceptu zahálčivé třídy Thorsteina Veblena a konceptu hegemonní maskulinity. Zaměřil jsem se na teoretickou analýzu konceptů a to především v otázce, zda Thorsteinem Veblenem popisované koncepty okázalé spotřeby a zahálky ukazují utváření identit dle vzorců hegemonní maskulinity v popisované společnosti. In the work Conspicious Maskulinity I Compare economical concept of Thorstein Veblen´s leisure class and concept of hegemonic maskulinity.
