Comparison of financial health of banking markets of the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je komparace bankovních trhů České republiky a Ruské federace z pohledu jejich finančního zdraví za poslední zveřejněná období 2016–2020. První kapitola práce je zaměřena na představení trhů a jejich současnou situaci, hlavně v důsledku přežití COVID-19 krize. Další část uvádí základní metodiku finanční analýzy v podobě postupu jejího provádění a hlavních ukazatelů, které jsou primárně orientovány na analýzu bankovních institucí. Stěžejní je třetí kapitola práce, ve které se provádí na základě shromážděných dat samotný finanční rozbor každé skutečnosti, která měla významný vliv na vývoj obou bankovních trhů, a vzájemná komparace dosažených výsledků. Jako dodatek je uváděn přehled současné situace banky Sberbank CZ, a.s. z pohledu důležitosti kontroly a řízení základních ukazatelů. Závěr celé práce tvoří shrnutí výsledků a úsudků o finančním zdraví bankovních trhů, ke kterým se dospělo v průběhu analýzy.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare two banking markets of the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation in terms of their financial health for the last published period of 2016–2020. The first chapter focuses on the presentation of the markets and their current situation, mainly due to the survival of the COVID-19 crisis. The next part presents the basic methodology of the financial analysis in the form of its implementation procedure and the main indicators, which are primarily focused on the analysis of the banking institutions. The pivotal part of the thesis is the third chapter which, on the basis of the gathered data, reveals the financial analysis of each actuality that had a significant impact on the development of both banking markets and the mutual comparison of the reached results. In addition, it is given an overview of the current situation of the public company Sberbank CZ with respect to the importance of controlling and management of the basic indicators. The conclusion of the whole thesis is made by the summarising of the achieved results and judgments on the financial health of the banking markets.
