Influence of context knowledge in architecture photography

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá současným pojetím fotografováním architektury jako samostatné fotografické disciplíny. Klade si za cíl zasvětit čtenáře do základů kompozičních prvků v rámci fotografování architektury, popsat moderní užívanou technologii i seznámit s všeobecnou historií této disciplíny. Dále popisuje odlišnými přístupy fotografování architektury i sdělením informací prostřednictvím těchto fotografií. V neposlední řadě se zabývá otázkou, jak znalost kontextů ovlivní, či inspiruje fotografa při fotografování, což je následně zkoumáno i v rámci praktické části této práce.

Abstract:

this thesis deals with the contemporary concept of architecture photography as separate photographic discipline. It aims to dedicate the reader to the basics of compositional elements in architectural photography, to describe the modern technology used and to familiarize with the general history of this discipline. It also describes different approaches to photographing architecture as well as communicating information through these photos. Last but not least, it deals with the question of how knowledge of contexts influences or inspires the photographer during photography, which is also examined in the practical part of this work.
