Support of Small and Middle Enterprises in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce se věnuje současnému systému podpory malých a středních podniků v České republice. V úvodní části poskytuje základní informace o sektoru malého a středního podnikání; jejich charakteristiku a definici, jejich přínosy, výhody a omezení. Dále se zabývá kvalitou podnikatelského prostředí a uvádí koncepci podpory malého a středního podnikání. V hlavní části mapuje systém podpory malých a středních podniků a přináší přehled významných institucí a nástrojů podpory jak z národní úrovně, tak i z úrovně Evropské unie. V poslední části analyzuje úspěšnost čerpání programů, především Operačního programu Podnikání a inovace. Součástí této analýzy je i vlastní průzkum mínění malých a středních podnikatelů. Na závěr shrnuje zjištěné poznatky a na jejich základě nabízí doporučení ke zlepšení systému podpory malých a středních podniků.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the current system of support for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Czech Republic. The introduction provides basic information on the small and medium-sized enterprise sector, their characteristics and definition, their benefits, advantages and limitations. The thesis also deals with the quality of the business environment and introduces the concept of support for small and medium-sized enterprises. The main part describes the system of support for small and medium-sized enterprises and provides an overview of important institutions and instruments of support at both the national level and from the European Union. The last section analyses how successful the implementation of programs such as the Operational Program Enterprise and Innovation are. The analysis includes my own survey of small end medium-sized enterprises’ opinion. In conclusion, the findings are summarized and on the basis of these findings recommendations to improve the system of support for small and medium-sized enterprises are provided.
