Bakalářská práce ve svém úvodu vychází z teorie demokracie a zabývá se formami demokracie. Podrobněji rozebírá podobu voleb a volebních systémů. Zabývá se otázkou volebního práva v širším smyslu a nastiňuje jeho aspekty ve formě volební povinnosti či aktivního a pasivního volebního práva atd.
