Epidemiological situation in the incidence of legionellosis in Czech republic

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou legionelóz a analýzou hlášených případů tohoto onemocnění v České republice. Byla zkoumána data z let 2000-2011. Práce je rozdělena na tři části. Teoretická část obsahuje informace o historii, etiologii, epidemiologii, patogenezi a klinickém obrazu legionelóz. Dále je zde zpracována také diagnostika, terapie, rizikové faktory a prevence onemocnění. Nechybí ani ekologie legionel a informace o údržbě rizikových zařízení. Důležitou součástí teoretické části je popis všech druhů legionelóz a rizikových faktorů jejich vzniku a také epidemiologická situace ve světě, Evropě a České republice. V rámci praktické části byla data o legionelózách v České republice z let 2000-2011 zpracovávána dle určitých charakteristik. Zajímalo nás rozdělení legionelóz dle věku, pohlaví, etiologického agens, klinické formy, druhu legionelózy, země importu a úmrtí na toto onemocnění a také dle incidence v jednotlivých krajích. Třetí částí této práce je diskuze, ve které jsou uvedeny výsledky, k nimž jsem došla díky jednotlivým analýzám.

Abstract:

This thesis is about legionellosis and analysis of reported cases of this disease in the Czech Republic. In this thesis are data from years 2000-2011. The work is divided into three parts. The theoretical section contains information about the history, etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis and clinical presentation of legionellosis. Then there is also elaborated diagnostics, therapy, risk factors and disease prevention. There is also an ecology of Legionella and information about maintenance of hazardous installations. An important part of the theoretical part is the description of all types of legionellosis, their risk factors and information about epidemiological situation in the world, Europe and in the Czech Republic. In the practical part, there are data about legionellosis in the Czech Republic from the years 2000-2011 processed according to certain characteristics. We were interested in the distribution of legionellosis according to age, sex, etiologic agens, clinical manifestations, type of legionellosis, importing country and deaths from the disease as well as incidence in individual regions. The third part of this work is a discussion about results, which I reached in individual analysis.
