Abstract:

Bakalářská práce "Commonwealth realm" je celkem o šestnácti státech, které působí v rámci společenství Commonwealth, uznávají britského panovníka jako svou oficiální hlavu státu a sdílejí politický systém konstituční monarchie. Cílem práce je co nejpřehledněji popsat a analyzovat proces fungování skupiny států Commonwealth realm a popsat roli a postavení britského panovníka, respektive generálního guvernéra v těchto státech. Podstatná část práce je také věnována republikánským náladám ve společnosti některých států Commonwealth realm a ústavním krizím, kterými si byly tyto státy nuceni projít. Za podstatnou součást práce dále považuji poukázat na oblasti, ve kterých dané státy vzájemně spolupracují. Práce je vedena formou komparace největších států v rámci uskupení - Austrálie, Kanada, Nový Zéland a komprace skupiny států v oblasti Karibiku a Oceánie. V závěru práce je popsána spolupráce mezi jednotlivými členskými státy. Práce by měla představovat ucelený přehled o tom, na jakých základech byly níže uvedené státy postaveny, jak se v průběhu historie měnily, jakým způsobem fungují dnes a zda mají nějaké ambice a potenciál do budoucna.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is about "Commonwealth realm" and it aims the goal in accurate description of process in 16 countries. Those 16 countries respect their British ruler as the official head. This group of countries is named as the Commonwealth realm or the link of Crown. There is not only a relationship of dedication to Crown, but also the same history, language, similarity of political system, British law, tradition and mutual relationship. As we can see, there are large and strong countries, such as Australia and Canada. There are also countries, such as Barbados and Tuvalu, which are small islands with low population. The countries of the Commonwealth realm are independent and therefore the fundamental part of the work is about status of the British ruler. In most of the countries, there is a general governor as an official representative of the ruler. The queen can influence the governor by authority.
