Data quality during migration of Internet banking

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce má stanovený cíl zjistit potřebu zajištění migrace dat z internetového bankovnictví banky X a navrhnout algoritmus migrace dat pro tuto banku. Dílčím cílem je odhalit, jaké chyby se mohou vyskytnout na úrovni procesů nebo přenášených dat, a navrhnout postupy pro jejich řešení. V první části práce jsou pomocí metody literární rešerše shrnuty základní teoretické informace související s problematikou migrace dat, samotnými daty a jejich významem, pojetím databáze, definováním migrace dat v podniku a systémem migrace dat z pohledu strategie. Po uvedení hlavních problémů, které se objevují v procesu přenosu dat, došlo k vypracování algoritmu posloupnosti migrace dat z internetového bankovnictví s bližším zaměřením na popis problému a účelu zajištění migrace, případné chyby a problémy i možnosti jejich řešení. Hodnocení výsledného produktu pak vytvořilo základ pro migrační příručku pro internetové bankovnictví, kterou lze považovat za vlastní přínos autora diplomové práce.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis has the stated goal to determine the need to ensure data migration from the internet banking of bank X and to design a data migration algorithm for this bank. The partial goal is to detect what errors may occur at the level of processes or transmitted data, and to design procedures for their solution. The first part of the thesis summarizes the basic theoretical information related to the issue of data migration, the data itself and its significance, the concept of the database, the definition of data migration in the company and the data migration system from the strategy point of view. After listing the main problems that appear in the data transfer process, an algorithm for the sequence of data migration from Internet banking was developed with a closer focus on the description of the problem and the purpose of ensuring migration, possible errors and problems and possible solutions. The evaluation of the final product then formed the basis for the migration manual for Internet banking, which can be considered as the own contribution of the author of the thesis.
