Tato práce se zabývá humorem obsaženým v 18 epizodách britského seriálu Červený trpaslík a překladem tohoto humoru pro českého diváka. Práce zkoumá vtipy v originální verzi a porovnává je s jejich českými verzemi se záměrem stanovit míru, do jaké se podařilo převést tzv. pragmatic force, čili jejich komický efekt, do cílového textu. Abstract:
The thesis deals with the humour appearing in 18 episodes of the British series Red Dwarf and its translation for Czech Viewers. The work examines jokes in the original version and compares them with their Czech rendering with the aim of assessing the level of pragmatic force transferred into the translated version.
