Stodolní street as social space from the point of view of students of University of Ostrava

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o Stodolní ulici a jejím vnímání z pohledu studentů Ostravské univerzity. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsem se pokusila popsat témata spojená s tímto tématem zahrnující životní styl, sociální prostor, sociální deviace, historii Stodolní ulice, město a volný čas. Jednotlivé kapitoly popisují témata a snaží se je rozvést do kontextu Stodolní ulice. V praktické části jsem použila kvalitativní výzkum pro zkoumání daného tématu. Vybrala jsem si hloubkové polostrukturované rozhovory, které jsem vedla se studenty. Výzkumný vzorek jsem vybírala pomocí metody sněhové koule a poté jsem je zpracovávala pomocí kódování. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak studenti tento městský prostor vnímají a tohoto cíle jsem se snažila docílit pomocí výzkumných otázek.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis is baout Stodolní streer and its perception from the perspective of students of the University of Ostrava. The work is devided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, I tried to describe topics related to this topic including lifestyle, social apsace, social deviance, the history of Stodolní Street, city and leisure. Individual chapters describe themes and try to put them in the context of the Stodolní Street. In the practical part, I used qualitative research to investigate the topic, i chose the in-depth semistructured conversations I had with the students. I selected the research sample by using the snowball metod and then processed it using coding. The aim of the paper was to find out how students perceived this urban space and I tried to achieve this goal throuhj research questions.
