Screening of the Digestive Tract by Using Computed Tomography

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce je zaměřena na téma zobrazení trávicího traktu pomocí výpočetní tomografie. Tato metoda je v dnešní době velice rozšířená a pomáhá v diagnostice nemalého počtu chorob. V teoretické části jsem se zaměřila nejprve na princip této metody a tvorby samotného obrazu. Dále jsem se zabývala vyšetřením trávicího traktu, kde jsem zjišťovala indikace, přípravu pacienta, a také jsem rozdělila jednotlivé typy vyšetření pomocí výpočetní tomografie. V dalších samostatných částech se věnuji kontrastním látkám, postprocesingu a také dalším metodám, kterými lze vyšetřit trávicí trakt. Praktická část je zaměřena na samotnou studii. V té jsem se zabývala CT enteroklýzou a CT kolonoskopií. Porovnávala jsem počty pacientů, kteří byli vyšetřeni pomocí těchto typů vyšetření ve Fakultní nemocnici Ostrava za rok 2011. Dále jsem také zjišťovala, zda pacienti byli či nebyli nejprve vyšetřeni na jiné modalitě. Cílem mé práce bylo zjistit, jakou prioritu má CT vyšetření před ostatními metodami využívanými na radiodiagnostickém pracovišti Fakultní nemocnice Ostrava.

Abstract:

My bachelor´s thesis is focused on the theme - Screening of the digestive tract by using of Computer tomography. This technique is at the present days very extended and helps us to diagnose of a fairly big number of diseases. In the teoretical part I have initially aimed at the principle of this technique and at the creation of a picture on the screen. Then I have dealt with medical examination of the digestive tract, where I have found out all indications, the preparation of patients and I have separated all particular types of medical examinations by means of computer tomography. In the subsequent sections I have dealt with contrast substances, post examination activities and other types of examination that could be used for checking the digestive tract. The practical part is focused on the study. I have dealt with CT enteroclysa and CT colonoscophy. I have collected data of patients, which were examinated by different types of medical examination at the University hospital in Ostrava in 2011. Thereafter I have found out, if the patient was or wasn´t examinated for diverse options. The subject of my treatise was to find out, what a degree of priority has CT examination in comparison with other methods.
