The Passive Voice from a Semantico-Syntactic Perspective
Abstract:
The present thesis explores the employment of the passive voice in English, with focus on its functional usage. Nevertheless, the perspective of analysis is both semantic as well as syntactic. It also compares and constrasts the passive voice usage in English and in Czech. The ressearch material has been taken from the genre of a short story.
