The Interlingual Rendition of the Proper Nouns in the Czech and Russian Translation of Man at Arms, a Discworld Novel by Terry Prachett
Abstract:
Cílem diplomové práce je srovnání převodu vlastních jmen z knihy od Terryho Pratchetta Muži ve zbrani a zjištění četnosti použitých transformací. Pro srovnání použitých transformací posloužil český překlad Jana Kantůrka a ruský překlad Nikolaje Berděnnikova. Analýza si klade za cíl zjistit, jaké transformace byly překladateli použity a co je k danému řešení vedlo.
Abstract:
The aim of the diploma thesis is to compare transformation of proper nouns form book by Terry Pratchett Men at arms and finding out the frequency in which the different transformations have been used. This has been compared in the Czech translation by Jan Kantůrek and the Russian translation by Nikolaj Berdennikov.
