Possibilities to improve the tourist offer by using cultural and historical potential of Terezin

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na podrobnou analýzu a následné zhodnocení turistické nabídky, kterou svým návštěvníkům v současné době poskytuje město Terezín. Dalším předmětem šetření byl kulturně – historický potenciál města a jeho využití k rozvoji cestovního ruchu. Je tedy samozřejmé, že jsem do práce zapracovala i teoretické informace o městě jako takovém a sepsala nejdůležitější historické události, které se města týkají. Součástí práce je podrobný rozbor místních ubytovacích a stravovacích služeb, kulturních zařízení a expozic, právě probíhajících revitalizačních projektů a v neposlední řadě také propagační činnosti města. K utřídění informací a lepší orientaci jsem vytvořila SWOT analýzu, která jasně ukazuje slabé a silné stránky města, stejně jako hrozby, se kterými se musí potýkat či příležitosti, kterých by se mělo využít. Jako poslední celek analytické části jsem vypracovala a následně zhodnotila dotazník předložený 130 respondentům. Závěrečnou částí práce je vyhodnocení aktuální situace ve městě a potvrzení či vyvrácení předem daných hypotéz. Asi nejdůležitější je stanovení několika návrhů jako reakce na výsledek šetření. Tyto návrhy by mohly v budoucnu Terezínu, jako turistické destinaci, pomoci nejen ke zvýšení návštěvnosti, ale i k rozšíření všeobecného lidského povědomí o tom, k čemu měla původně pevnost Terezín skutečně sloužit.

Abstract:

This thessis is focused on detailed analysis and evaluation of tourist offer that is currently provided by the city of Terezín. Another aspect was cultural and historical potential of the city and its usage in tourist development. I rationally implied teoretical information about the city as well and wrote down the most important historical events. A part of this thessis is a detailed analysis of local accommodation services and catering, cultural places and excursion, currently ongoing revitalization projects and propagation of the city. I made a SWOT analysis for better orientation that shows us strenghts, weaknesses, threats and opportunities, that need to be exploited. The last section of the analysis part is a questionnaire, which was filled out by 130 respondents. The last part of this dissertation is an evaluation of a current situation in the city and confirmation or refutation of hypothesis that was set in the introduction. Probably the most important part is establishing a few ideas that might help the city of Terezín in the future and making it more attractive for potential visitors. These ideas might also be helpful for expanding the thought of why was the fort built at the first place.
