Mythological Motives in the Texts of Lithuanian Metal-Bands
Abstract:
Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá texty písní litevských metalových skupin, které ve své tvorbě pracují s předkřesťanským baltským náboženstvím a mytologií. Cílem práce je poskytnout systematizovaný přehled prvků baltské mytologie, porovnat jejich užití s ukotvením v původním mytologickém systému a interpretovat jejich postavení v metalové hudbě.
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis deals with the texts of Lithuanian metal bands, which use motives of the pre-Christian baltic religion and mythology in their music. The aim of this thesis is to present a systematic overview of used baltis mythological motives, compare their use in the texts with the original mythological system and interpret a position of these motives in metal music.
