Payment cards on the Internet

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce přináší pohled na historický, současný i budoucí vývoj tohoto platebního instrumentu, typologii platebních karet, kde nechybí představení nových bezkontaktních platebních karet. Dále se práce zaměřuje na jejich použití a rovněž se zabývá tématy úzce spjatými s platebními kartami již od jejich počátků, kterými jsou bezpečnost a rizika platebních karet, ať již při výběrech hotovosti z bankomatu, placení u obchodníků či při pohodlném a stále populárnějším nakupování na internetu. Závěrečná část práce přináší analýzu současného stavu platebních karet v České republice včetně přehledu aktuální nabídky platebních karet předních českých bank.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis brings the view of the historic, current and the future development of this payment instrument, a typology of credit cards, complete with the introduction of new contactless payment cards. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on their use and also deals with topics closely related to payment cards since their beginnings, which are security and risks, whether in cash withdrawals from ATMs, during the payment at merchants or at a convinient and increasingly popular shopping on the Internet. The final part of the thesis provides an analysis of current state of payment cards in the Czech republic, including an overview of current payment card offers from leading Czech banks.
