Magisterská diplomová práce shrnuje stěžejní explikace pojmu umění napříč dějinami. Cílem je ukázat, které vlastnosti byly v konkrétním období preferovány při evaluaci uměleckých artefaktů. Stěžejní částí jsou definice umění předložené ve století dvacátém. Tyto novodobé definice jsou představeny a podrobeny kritice. Abstract:
This Thesis summarizes the key explanations of the concept of art across history. The aim is to show which properties were preferred during a particular period when evaluating artistic artifacts. The core part is the definitions of art presented in the Twentieth Century. These modern definitions are presented and criticized.
