Za cíl své práce jsem se rozhodla objektivně zhodnotit, co znamenala firma Baťa pro město Zlín. Zabývám se podrobně koncem devatenáctého století až do poloviny dvacátého století, kdy proběhly ty nejzásadnější počiny k rozvoji a růstu města Zlína. The aim of my thesis is to objectively assess what the company Bata meant for the city of Zlín. In detail, I deal with the end of the nineteenth century until the mid-twentieth century, when the most important achievements were made for the development and growth of the city of Zlín.
