Cílem této práce je ukázat postoje Jane Austenové a Mary Wollstonecraftové k manželství a k postavení žen v Anglii osmnáctého a počátku devatenáctého století. Pro objasnění postojů Austenové jsou použity její dva romány Emma a Anna Elliotová (Persuasion). Na základě těchto románů jsou analyzovány jak předpoklady pro manželství (role peněz a vzdělání), tak také postavení žen v manželství samotném. Názory …more
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to present Austen´s and Wollstonecraft´s views on marriage and on the position of women in the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries in England. For the illustration of Austen´s opinions her novels Emma and Persuasion are used.
