Physiotherapy in the treatment of complex regional pain syndrome

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce čtenáře podrobněji seznamuje s onemocněním zvaným komplexní regionální algický syndrom. Dále s možností využití fyzioterapie k ovlivnění bolestivých stavů a k obnově funkce v postiženém segmentu. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část je zaměřená na samotné onemocněním KRBS a na možnosti následné léčby tohoto onemocnění. V praktické části byli sledováni 2 pacienti, u kterých byla provedena kvalitativní kazuistická studie. Tato část je orientovaná hlavně na účinky různých metod a postupů ve fyzioterapii tak, aby došlo primárně k ovlivnění symptomů vzniklých u tohoto onemocnění.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis will introduce and acquaint the reader with an illness called complex regional pain syndrome. Further it will discuss the use of physiotherapy in terms of effecting painful cases and in regard to renewal of function in problematic and effected segments. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The first, theoretical section, is focused on the disease itself and on its possible therapies and cures. In the second section, the practical section, this thesis focused on two patients who are affected by this illness and put them through a casuistry case study. This part is mainly focused on the effectiveness of different methods and procedures in physiotherapy and their outcome in term of response to the present symptoms of this illness.
