Proposal for the concept of participation of the inhabitants of Karlova Ves (Bratislava) in the project of adaptation measures

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá městskou částí Karlova ves, která se nachází v Bratislavě (Slovenská republika) a dopady klimatické změny konkrétně na toto území. Řeší projekty adaptace DELIVER a MITADAPT a možnosti participace veřejnosti v rámci těchto projektů. V praktické části práce je zvolena metoda polostrukturovaného rozhovoru a dotazníkového šetření pro zjištění preferencí jednotlivých aktérů v rámci navrhovaného konceptu. Koncept participace veřejnosti je zaměřen na problematiku klimatické změny. Cílem konceptu je podpořit osvětu a vzdělávání obyvatel v této problematice. Výsledný návrh konceptu participace obyvatel v rámci adaptačních opatření, vychází z potřeb městského úřadu Bratislava-Karlova Ves.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the Karlova Ves urban district, located in Bratislava (Slovak Republic) and the impacts of climate change on this area. It addresses the DELIVER and MITADAPT adaptation projects and the possibilities of public participation within these projects. In the practical part of the thesis, the method of semi-structured interview and questionnaire survey is chosen to find out the preferences of individual actors within the proposed concept. The concept of public participation is focused on the issue of climate change. The aim of the concept is to promote awareness and education of the population on this issue. The resulting proposal for the concept of public participation in adaptation measures is based on the needs of the Bratislava-Karlova Ves municipality.
