Bakalářská práce se zabývá historií dědičné pošty ve Svitavách v kontextu vývoje českého poštovnictví 18. a 19. století. Časově je práce vymezená působením dědičných poštmistrů z rodu Wernerů na svitavské poště koncem 18. století a začátkem 20. století. Práce je rozdělena na tři části. The thesis observes history of the hereditary post office of Svitavy in the context of Czech postal service development in the 18th and 19th century. Work frame is defined by the presence of hereditary postmasters of the Werner family which managed the post office of Svitavy since 18th century till early 20th century.
