Stakeholder attitudes towards sustainable logistics using the Q method

Abstract:

Logistika poslední míle se kvůli nárůstu e-commerce stala velice významnou, ale tento nárůst s sebou nese i negativní dopady. V současné době existuje hned několik možností, jak zvýšit udržitelnost v logistice poslední míle. Cílem práce je identifikovat hlavní skupiny názorů, kam by se měla rozvíjet udržitelná logistika poslední míle ve městě Ústí nad Labem. Pro dosažení cíle bude využita Q metoda, která analyzuje názory kombinací kvantitativních a kvalitativních metod. Názory jsou sesbírány od klíčových stakeholderů v Ústí nad Labem, kteří se věnují oblasti městské logistiky. S využitím těchto dat jsou odhadovány a popsány názorové koalice mezi oslovenými stakeholdery a je popsáno, jaké jsou hlavní názorové proudy na posílení udržitelné logistiky poslední míle v tomto městě. Získané výsledky mohou podpořit efektivnější řešení problémů ohledně udržitelné logistiky poslední míle. Výsledky práce mohou sloužit jako informační zdroj pro decision-makery ve městě Ústí nad Labem a být inspirací pro jiná města.

Abstract:

Last-mile logistics has become very important due to the rise of e-commerce, but this growth also brings with it negative consequences. Today, there are several ways to increase sustainability in last mile logistics. The aim of this thesis is to identify the main groups of opinions where sustainable last mile logistics should develop in the city of Ústí nad Labem. In order to achieve this goal, the Q method will be used, which analyses opinions by combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Opinions are collected from key stakeholders in Ústí nad Labem who are involved in the field of urban logistics. Using this data, the opinion coalitions among the interviewed stakeholders are estimated and described, and the main opinion currents for strengthening sustainable last mile logistics in this city are described. The results obtained can support more effective problem solving on sustainable last mile logistics. The results of the work can serve as an information source for decision-makers in the city of Ústí nad Labem and be an inspiration for other cities.
