This thesis deals with the unemployment and with analysis of its development in the district of Čadca in years 2010 - 2015. The aim is not only the actual analysis of the various indicators of the unemployment, but the selecting of adequate model to create short-term forecast of development of unemployment in the district of Čadca as well. Táto diplomová práca sa zaoberá nezamestnanosťou a analýzou jej vývoja v okrese Čadca v rokoch 2010 - 2015. Cieľom práce však nie je len samotný rozbor jednotlivých ukazovateľov nezamestnanosti, ale i výber vhodného modelu na vytvorenie krátkodobej prognózy vývoja nezamestnanosti v okrese Čadca.
