Pilgrimage to Křtiny. Promotion of the pilgrimage site Křtiny in broadsides ballads.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zpracovává dosud neprozkoumaný fond kramářských písní tematizujících poutní místo Křtiny. Tento soubor textů vychází z brněnských historických fondů tří institucí: Moravské zemské knihovny, Moravského zemského muzea a brněnské pobočky Etnologického ústavu AV ČR. Po obecné analýze údajů z titulních stran se autorka hlouběji zabývá metodami propagace poutního místa Křtiny a způsoby formování poutníka skrze texty písní. Ty jsou rozčleněny do několika skupin dle M. Holubové a následně zpracovány rozborem konkrétních textů, zejména různých specifik. Po analýze písní tematizujících historii místa, zakladatelské legendy a učiněné zázraky se pozornost obrací na skupiny oslovované v textech. Detailněji se autorka zastavuje u konkrétních způsobů pojmenování Panny Marie, které statisticky vyhodnocuje. Podobně se zabývá i prosbami vznášenými v písních. Celou práci završuje katalog všech písní nalezených v brněnských fondech s přídavkem dalších výskytů písní.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the unexplored collection of broadside’s ballads which thematize the pilgrimage site of Křtiny. This collection of lyrics proceeds from the historical stocks of the three Brno institutions—The Moravian Library, The Moravian Museum, and The Institute of Ethnology of the Czech Academy of Sciences based in Brno. After a general analysis of the information occurring on the title pages has been carried out, the present author was concerned with the methods of promotion of the pilgrimage site Křtiny as well as the means by which the lyrics of broadside’s ballads shaped the pilgrim. The division of these means by which the pilgrim was shaped is proposed by M. Holubová and, after their application, the broadsides ballads are elaborated via the analysis of the lyrics. After analysing the broadside’s ballads concerned with the history of the pilgrimage site, the founding of legends, and happening of miracles, the attention is turned to the groups addressed in the lyrics. The present author elaborates and statistically evaluates the specific ways of naming the Virgin Mary. Similarly are treated the pleas expressed in the broadside’s ballads. The thesis is concluded by the list of all the broadside’s ballads found in the Brno collections with addition of other ballads.
