This bachelor thesis deals with stance and circumstance adverbials in the novel Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J. K. Rowling. The theoretical part consists of a general description of adverbials and a detailed description of stance and circumstance adverbials, including their classification, semantics and form.
