Analysis of Trends in chosen Fund's Prices

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je analýza vývoje cen vybraných podílových listů peněžního trhu. Jedná se konkrétně o podílové fondy investiční společnosti ČS, a. s. , KB, a. s., ČSOB, a. s., ING, Pioneer, AXA, ČP Invest. V diplomové práci uvádím základní právní úpravu investování, filozofii investování. Vysvětluji pojmy, jako jsou investiční horizont, riziko, likvidita, výnos, které neodmyslitelně k investování patří. Dále popisuji základní charakteristiku peněžního trhu, jeho specifika. Dalšími předměty mého zájmu jsou faktory, ovlivňující vývoj cen vybraných podílových fondů (úrokové sazby vyhlašované Českou národní bankou, tj. repo sazbu, PRIBOR, diskontní sazbu, lombardní sazbu inflaci, zhodnocení státních dluhopisů se splatností 3 a 5 let. Součástí diplomové práce je statistický oddíl, kde se pomocí regresní a korelační analýzy snažím zjistit souvztažnosti mezi vyhlašovanými sazbami ČNB, inflací, zhodnocením státních dluhopisů se splatností 3 a 5 let a zhodnocením fondů peněžního trhu. Předposlední kapitola je věnována hodnocení jednotlivých fondů a to z několika hledisek. Poslední pasáží diplomové práce je závěr, kde celkově shrnuji diplomovou práci a dosažené výsledky mého zkoumání.

Abstract:

The purpose of this magister final thesis is to analyze trends in chosen money market mutual funds' prices. Particularly, money market mutual funds of the following investment companies are analyzed: ČS, a. s. KB, a s. , ČSOB, a s. , ING, Pioneer, AXA and ČP Invest. The magister final thesis describes main legal regulations and philosophy of investing. The terms like an investment horizon, a risk, liquidity and a return, which are closely connected with the process of investing, are described. Furthermore, fundamental characteristics of a money market and its specifics are described. Moreover, I analyzed factors which affect a development of the mutual funds’ prices. I specially focused on the ČNB interest rates, i.e. repo rate, PRIBOR, discount rate, lombard rate and returns of treasury notes with three-year and five-year maturities. One part of the thesis contains a statistical section, which is focused on identification and mathematical expression of a correlation between ČNB rates, an inflation, returns of treasury notes with three-year and five-year maturities and returns of the funds. Next to the last chapter is dedicated to an evaluation of each fund from different aspects. The last part of the magister final thesis is a conclusion, which provides a full summary of the thesis and results of my research.
