Práce aplikuje teorii optimálních měnových oblastí na Evropskou hospodářskou a měnovou unii. Cílem je posoudit, zda jsou naplněna kritéria optimální měnové oblasti, a popsat důsledky pro politiku Evropské centrální banky. This thesis uses the optimum currency areas theory to analyze the Economic and Monetary Union of the European Union. The aim is to examine whether the OCA criteria are met in the EMU and to describe implication for the policy of the European Central Bank.
