Analysis of the password policy of the Office for Government Representation in Property Affairs

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Rozbor politiky hesel v Úřadu pro zastupování státu ve věcech majetkových“ se zaměřuje na zabezpečení přístupu do informačního systému Úřadu pro zastupování státu ve věcech majetkových. Zabezpečení přístupu do systému představuje zranitelné místo každého informačního systému. Hlavním cílem této práce je vyhodnocení současného stavu politiky hesel v Úřadu pro zastupování státu ve věcech majetkových a navržení doporučení k posílení bezpečnosti v této oblasti. Prostředky využité k dosažení tohoto cíle jsou popis současných trendů politiky hesel, popis politiky hesel Úřadu pro zastupování státu ve věcech majetkových, získaný díky komunikaci s referenty oddělení Technické podpory a správy sítí, a dotazník rozeslaný mezi zaměstnance Úřadu pro zastupování státu ve věcech majetkových. Tato práce popisuje současnou situaci politiky hesel v Úřadu pro zastupování státu ve věcech majetkových a vyústila navržením doporučení určených k posílení politiky hesel Úřadu pro zastupování státu ve věcech majetkových. Přínosem této práce je doporučení k posílení politiky hesel v Úřadu pro zastupování státu ve věcech majetkových.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis “Analysis of the password policy of the Office for Government Representation in Property Affairs” focuses on access security to the information system of the Office for Government Representation in Property Affairs. System access security represents a potential weak point of every information system. Main goal of this thesis is to evaluate the current state of the password policy of the Office for Government Representation in Property Affairs and to design measures for improving the strength of security in this area. The assets used in order to achieve this goal are description of current trends in password policies, description of password policy of the Office for Government Representation in Property Affairs this description is gained through communication with officers of department of technical support and network management and survey conducted amongst the employees of the Office for Government Representation in Property Affairs. This thesis describes current situation of password policy in the Office for Government Representation in Property Affairs and leads to designing security measures meant for strengthening the password policy of the Office for Government Representation in Property Affairs. The contribution of this thesis lies in the suggestions made in order to strengthen the password policy of the Office for Government Representation in Property Affairs.
