Migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na migrační krizi na Polsko-Běloruské hranici odehrávající se v roce 2021, s důrazem na postoj Spolkové republiky Německo. Práce se zabývá zhodnocením změny postoje Spolkové republiky Německo k migrační politice mezi lety 2015 a 2021. Vedle analýzy vnitřních a vnějších faktorů ovlivňující postoj politických stran i obyvatelstva k migraci je věnována pozornost také oficiálním vyjádřením tehdejší kancléřky Spolkové republiky Německo. Práce obsahuje teoretickou a empirickou část. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny odborné termíny stěžejní pro následnou empirickou část. Jedná se o termíny jako sekuritizace či hybridní válka. Empirická část se zabývá faktory ovlivňující změnu postoje Spolkové republiky Německo k migraci a zároveň také zhodnocuje postoj Spolkové republiky Německo k migrační krizi v roce 2015, posléze i k migrační krizi na Polsko-Běloruských hranicích z roku 2021, což je klíčové pro zodpovězení výzkumné otázky.

Abstract:

The presented bachelor thesis focuses on the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border taking place in 2021, with emphasis on the position of the Federal Republic of Germany. The thesis deals with evaluation of change in the approach of the Federal Republic of Germany towards migration policy between years 2015 and 2021. In addition to the analysis of internal and external factors influencing the approach of political parties and the population to migration, attention is also paid to the official statement of the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany. The thesis contains a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part defines the technical terms crucial for the subsequent empirical part. These are terms such as securitization or hybrid warfare. The empirical part deals with the factors influencing the change in the approach of the Federal Republic of Germany towards migration and also evaluates the attitude of the Federal Republic of Germany to the European migration crisis in 2015, and later to the migration crisis at the Polish-Belarusian border in 2021, which is critical for answering a research question.
