Mikrofluidika je oblast fyziky zabývající se charakteristikami a manipulací kapalin v rozměrech pod jeden milimetr. Mikrofluidní přístup nalézá uplatnění v řadě aplikací, jednou z nich je výzkum cévního systému. Tato práce byla zaměřena na přípravu jednoduchého cévního modelu, který představuje polydimethylsiloxanový (PDMS) čip, jehož kanálky jsou osazeny endoteliálními buňkami.
