Gender in management

Anotace:

Cílem diplomové práce je analýza genderových nerovností v managementu, jejich vnímání v České republice a následná formulace doporučení, která přispějí ke zlepšení stávající situace. První část práce se věnuje literární rešerši, která poskytuje teoretický rámec definující základní pojmy v oblasti gender managementu. Literární rešerše také poskytuje odborné podklady pro praktickou část. Empirická část je nejdříve tvořena analýzou stavu genderové segregace v České republice. Následně je proveden kvalitativní výzkum v podobě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se ženami, které pracují v managementu. Na závěr práce jsou identifikována problematická hlediska a navrhnuta doporučení, které mohou přispět ke zlepšení postavení žen v managementu.

Abstract:

The subject of the diploma thesis is to analyse gender inequalities in management, their perception in the Czech Republic and the subsequent formulation of recommendations that will contribute to the improvement of the current situation. The first part of the thesis is devoted to literature research, which provides a theoretical framework defining basic concepts in the field of gender management. The literature search also provides the professional background for the practical part. The empirical part consists first of an analysis of the state of gender segregation in the Czech Republic. Subsequently, qualitative research is conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews with women working in management. At the end of the thesis, problematic aspects are identified, and recommendations are proposed that can contribute to improving the position of women in management.
