Domestic violence and elementary school children

Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku domácího násilí. Cílem práce nazvané Domácí násilí a děti II. stupně základní školy je zjistit, „Jaké předpoklady ke zvládání situace domácího násilí mají děti v období pubescence?“ V první části jsem se zmínila o základních pojmech k domácímu násilí, copingu a sociální opoře, kterou chápu jako významný zdroj zvládání. Dále charakterizuji vývojové období pubescenta a předpoklady ke zvládání situace domácího násilí. K zodpovězení základní výzkumné otázky jsem použila kvalitativní strategii a to ve formě polostrukturovaného a nestrukturového rozhovoru. Rozhovory byly prováděny s dvanácti žáky II. stupně základní školy. Ze získaných dat jsem došla k závěru, že každé dítě je sice individuální, u každého lze ale identifikovat typické konfigurace předpokladů. U některých dětí je tato konfigurace krystalická a u jiných se charakteristiky kombinují. Diplomová práce obsahuje 22 430 slov.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focused on the topic of domestic violence. The aim of the thesis named Domestic violence and children of II. level of basic school is to find out, „What predispositions do children of pubescence age have to handle the domestic violence?“ In the first part I have mentioned the basic terms related to the domestic violence, coping and social support, which I understand as important source of handeling it. Later on I describe the pubescent development period and predispositions to handle the domestic violence. To answer the research question I have used the qualitative strategy in the form of partly structured and unstructured interview. These interviews have been done with twelve students of II. level of basic school. From the collected data I have reached the conclusion, that every child is an individual, but also it is possible to identify the typical configurations of dispositions for each of them. For some this configuration is clear and for the others the characteristic may be combined. This diploma thesis contains 22 430 words.
