Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřena na cestovní ruch v Irsku. V teoretické části jsou objasněny základní teoretická východiska, která se týkají vymezení pojmu cestovní ruch včetně jeho druhů a forem, a dále vymezení pojmu destinace cestovního ruchu. V závěru teoretické části jsou vysvětleny předpoklady rozvoje cestovního ruchu. Cílem této práce je představit Irsko jako turisticky atraktivní destinaci. Dále zanalyzovat a zhodnotit cestovní ruch země a jeho postavení na mezinárodním trhu cestovního ruchu. V praktické části práce jsou představeny základní informace o zemi, včetně jeho hlavních organizací v oblasti cestovního ruchu, materiálně technické základy a v neposlední řadě turistických atraktivit. V závěrečné kapitole je zhodnoceno postavení Irska v mezinárodním srovnání. V této části práce jsou provedeny analýzy domácího, příjezdového a výjezdového cestovního ruchu ve sledovaném období let 2009–2018. Analýzy se věnují počtům realizovaných cest, počtům odbydlených nocí, množství utracených výdajů, hlavním motivům cestování a průměrné délce pobytu strávené v destinaci. Dále je Irsko zhodnoceno na základě indexu konkurenceschopnosti cestovního ruchu TTCI. V závěru práce je provedena SWOT analýza země, která přináší komplexnější pohled na Irsko.

Abstract:

This work is focused on tourism in Ireland. The theoretical part explains the basic theoretical background, which is related to the definition of tourism, including its types and forms and the definition of tourist destination. At the end of the theoretical part, the assumptions for the development of tourism are explained. The main aim of this thesis is to introduce Ireland as an attractive tourist destination. Further analyze and evaluate the country's tourism and its position on the international tourism market. The practical part of the thesis presents basic information about the country, including its main organizations in the field of tourism, material and technical bases and last but not least the tourists attractions. The last chapter evaluates Ireland’s position in the international comparison. In this part of the thesis, analyzes of domestic, inbound and outbound tourism in the monitored periods of 2009-2018 are demonstrated. The analyzes focus on the number of trips, the number of nights spent, the amount of expenditure, the main motives of traveling and the average length of stay in the destination. Further Ireland is evaluated on the basis of the TTCI Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index. At the end of this thesis the SWOT analysis of Ireland is carried out, which brings a more comprehensive view of Ireland.
