UAV Remote Sensing and Their Application in Physical Geography

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje nové metodě sběru přesných geoprostorových dat v podobě leteckých snímků získaných pomocí UAV technologie. Představuje její historii v rámci oboru fotogrammetrie, její přednosti, limity a uvádí jednotlivé existující letecké bezpilotní platformy. Práce se zaměřuje na aplikaci UAV technologie ve výzkumech parciálních disciplín fyzické geografie. Je zde shrnut dosavadní stav poznání v rámci této problematiky a následně jsou uvedeny příklady využití bezpilotních leteckých prostředků k získání dat při řešení problematiky environmentálních hazardů a v případových studiích oboru meteorologie, hydrologie, glaciologie, vegetační ekologie a geomorfologie. Poslední zmíněná je klíčovou disciplínou této bakalářské práce a je jí tedy věnována větší pozornost a prostor. Na příkladu případové studie nasnímání lokality Strážnického meandru v přírodním parku Strážnickém Pomoraví je zde popsán proces sběru dat, potřebné předcházející kroky a použité nástroje. Pořízené snímky z roku 2014 a taktéž z předešlých let 2013 a 2012 byly zpracovány do podoby ortorektifikované mozaiky a digitálního výškového modelu. Popis postupu je zde uveden a na základě znalosti této metodiky byl vypracován návod k tvorbě ortofotomozaiky ze snímků pořízených pomocí UAV v softwarovém programu Agisoft PhotoScan Professional 1.0.1 1812.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis is focused on a new method of collecting accurate geospatial data in the form of aerial photographs obtained using UAV technology. There is represented its history within the field of photogrammetry , its advantages , limits and list of various existing unmanned aerial platforms. The thesis focuses on the application of UAV technology in researches of partial disciplines of Physical Geography. There is a quantitative summary of the present state of knowledge within the scope of this problem and then there are given examples of the use of unmanned aerial vehicles to obtain data for issue of environmental hazards or in the case studies in meteorology, hydrology, glaciology, vegetation ecology and geomorphology. The last mentioned is a key discipline of this thesis and it is therefore paid more attention to it. Through an example of a case study about photographing meander near Strážnice in the protected area Strážnické Pomoraví there is described process of collection data, necessary previous steps and used tools. Captured images from 2014 and also from previous years 2013 and 2012 were processed into orthorectified mosaics a digital elevation models. Description of this process is introduced here and on the basis of knowledge of this methodics has been composed a manual of the processing images obtained using the UAV to orthorectified mosaic in the software program Agisoft PhotoScan Professional 1.0.1, 1812.
