Financing of folklore ensembles in the Czech Republic and selected European countries

Abstract:

Uvedená diplomová práce se zabývá financováním a výdaji folklorních hnutí v České republice, Itálii a Velké Británii (Skotsko). Itálie je zde jako zástupce sociálního státu středomořského modelu a bohatou kulturní identitou. Velká Británie zastupuje anglosaský model sociálního státu, který dbá především na samostatnost ekonomických subjektů. Jedním z cílů práce je srovnání výše čerpání veřejných financí a financí od soukromých dárců, možnosti daňových úlev a porovnání instituce dárcovství a fundraisingu. Poslední částí je také přehled výdajů folklorních hnutí. První část se zabývá teorií a úvodem do problematiky, další tři části se věnují představením současných situací ve zkoumaných zemích a poslední částí je komparace výsledků výzkumu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the financing and expenditure of folklore movements in the Czech Republic, Italy and Great Britain (Scotland). Italy is here as a representative of the welfare state of the Mediterranean model and a rich cultural identity. The United Kingdom represents the Anglo-Saxon model of the welfare state, which pays particular attention to the independence of economic entities. One of the aims of the work is to compare the amount of drawing public finances and funds from private donors, the possibility of tax relief and a comparison of the institution of donation and fundraising. The last part is also an overview of the expenditures of folklore movements. The first part deals with the theory and introduction to the issue, the other three parts are devoted to the presentation of current situations in the studied countries and the last part is a comparison of research results.
