Methods of measuring and evaluating the reputation of businesses

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je orientována na problematiku měření a hodnocení reputace podniků se zaměřením na chemický průmysl. V teoretické části práce je nejprve prezentována rešerše odborné literatury definující pojem reputace podniku a specifikující její význam. Dále jsou přestaveny různé metody měření a hodnocení reputace podniků, a to na bázi národních i celosvětových reputačních žebříčků, měřítek osobnosti firmy a značky i dalších literaturou doporučovaných hodnotících reputačních technik. Praktická část práce představuje výsledky primárního kvalitativního výzkumu mapujícího současný stav znalosti i praktického využití různých metod hodnocení a měření reputace ve čtyřech podnicích orientovaných svou výrobou na chemický průmysl. Zjištěné informace jsou podrobeny obsahové analýze. Závěrem jsou formulována doporučení ke zlepšení systému měření a hodnocení reputace ve zkoumaných firmách.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is oriented towards the issue of measuring and evaluating the reputation of companies with a focus on the chemical industry. In the theoretical part of the work, a search of professional literature defining the concept of company reputation and specifying its meaning is first presented. Furthermore, various methods of measuring and evaluating the reputation of businesses are reconstructed, based on national and global reputation rankings, company and brand personality measures, and other literature-recommended reputation evaluation techniques. The practical part of the work presents the results of primary qualitative research mapping the current state of knowledge as well as the practical use of various methods of evaluation and measurement of reputation in four enterprises oriented by their production to the chemical industry. The obtained information is subjected to content analysis. In conclusion, recommendations are formulated to improve the system of measurement and evaluation of reputation in the investigated companies.
