Information System of a Cycle Route

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce má za úkol zmapovat a popsat turistické informační systémy společně s dalšími druhy značení jak z pohledu historie a vývoje, tak i současného působení. První část je věnována především turistice a jejímu rozvoji, ale zabývá se i kartografií. Druhá kapitola pojednává o současných systémech v čele s turistickým značením a značením z něj vycházejícím. Prostor je věnován i piktogramům. Třetí kapitola popisuje systémy značení v zahraničí a čtvrtá kapitola se věnuje podrobněji cyklistice od počátků až k působení v současnosti. Praktická část popisuje návrh mapy oblasti Lašské brány Beskyd, mobilní aplikaci a piktogramy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis gathers information on tourist information systems and other tourist signs; and surveys their evolution throughout our history. The first part focuses on tourism and its development, and cartoghraphy. The second chapter concentrates on modern information systems, mainly tourist signs and similar sign systems; and mentions pictograms. The third part focused on foreign information systems is followed by the fourth chapter which gives details on history of cycling, as well as the present situation in this field. The practical part describes the process of designing the map of the Lachian gate of Beskydy mountains area, the application for mobile devices, and pictograms.
