Ecotourism and rural tourism in Georgia

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je studií agroturismu a ekologického turismu v Gruzii. Cílem práce je zjistit, kdo a jakým způsobem pomáhá místním poskytovatelům ubytování. Na začátku jsou vysvětleny pojmy jako agroturismus a ekoturismus a jejich pojetí v Gruzii. Bude zde také uveden důvod, proč je právě tento druh šetrného turismu vhodný pro tuto oblast a pro místní podnikatele. Zmíněn je význam agroturismu a ekologického turismu obecně, pro Gruzii a pro ženy. V následující části jsou prezentováni jednotliví poskytovatelé a provozovatelé ubytování a jejich motivace a začátky v podnikání. Za pomoci odborné literatury budou představeni nejdůležitější aktéři pro spolupráci v šetrném cestovním ruchu. Je zde popsáno, jakou roli hrají samotní podnikatelé, místní komunita, sousedé a správa obcí. Dále také, jakou váhu má vláda a její zapojení do mezinárodních projektů. Jmenovitě jsou představeny jednotlivé organizace působící v Gruzii, pomáhající rozvoji agroturismu a ekoturismu. Na to, jaký vliv má spolupráce s těmito aktéry, odpovídali vybraní poskytovatelé ubytování z Gruzie. Jejich odpovědi a zkušenosti jsou porovnány mezi sebou i s odbornou literaturou. V závěru této bakalářské práce jsou vyhodnoceny výsledky studie. Jsou zde rozebrány odpovědi účastníků a navrhnuta zlepšení.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is a study of agritourism and ecological tourism in Georgia. The aim of this work is to find out who and how it helps local accommodation providers. At the beginning, terms such as agritourism and ecotourism and their conceptions in Georgia are explained. There will also be a reason why this kind of environmentally friendly tourism is suitable for this area and for local entrepreneurs. Mentioned is the importance of agritourism and ecological tourism in general, for Georgia and for women. In the following section, individual providers and operators of accommodation and their motivation and beginnings in business are presented. With the help of professional literature, the most important actors for cooperation in green tourism will be introduced. Described is the role of entrepreneurs, local community, neighbours and municipal administration. Furthermore, what is the weight of the government and its involvement in international projects. Namely are presented individual organizations operating in Georgia to help develop agritourism and ecotourism. The influence of cooperation with these actors has been answered by selected accommodation providers from Georgia. Their answers and experiences are compared with each other and with professional literature. At the end of this thesis are evaluated the results of the study. Participants' answers are discussed, and improvements are suggested.
