The influence of asymmetric load on the lower limbs on the segmental distribution of body fat in athletes jumpers

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem asymetrického rozložení zatížení dolních končetin na segmentální rozložení tělesného tuku u atletů skokanů do výšky a do dálky. Cílem této práce je provést na odrazové a neodrazové končetině u atletů skokanů do výšky a do dálky segmentální analýzu rozložení tělesného tuku a na základě korelace mezi výsledky naměřenými metodou DEXA a BIA analyzátorem Tanita BC 418 MA posoudit citlivost BIA analyzátoru na rozložení tělesného tuku při segmentální analýze. Sledovanou skupinu tvořili atleti, jejichž hlavní disciplínou je skok daleký nebo skok vysoký. U těchto disciplín se pro finální výkon využívá jedna (tzv. odrazová) končetina. Měření se zúčastnilo 19 atletů, z toho 10 mužů a 9 žen s věkovým průměrem 18,11 ? 2,88 let. Segmentální analýza byla realizována metodou BIA, za pomocí tetrapolární bioempedanční váhy Tanita BC 418 MA (Tanita, Japonsko). Pro ověření výsledků byla použita metoda DEXA, s využitím denzitometru Hologic QDR Discovery (Hologic, USA). Pro zjištění míry korelace mezi naměřenými hodnotami dolní končetiny metodou DEXA a BIA byl použit Pearsonův korelační koeficient. U hodnot segmentální analýzy získaných metodou BIA nebyl zjištěn žádný statisticky významný rozdíl. Statisticky významné rozdíly byly zjištěny pouze u metody DEXA u hodnot kostní hmoty. Vyhodnocení segmentální analýzy ukázalo, že rozdíly mezi hodnotami parametrů tělesného složení závodní a nezávodní končetiny jsou nevýznamné. Citlivost BIA analyzátoru Tanita BC 418 MA na segmentální rozložení tělesného tuku u dolních končetin je podobná jako u metody DEXA. Hodnoty korelačního koeficientu vyšly poměrně vysoké, ale i přes to nemůžeme z měření analyzátorem Tanita BC 418 MA odhadovat dostatečně přesně hodnoty DEXA.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the influence of asymmetrical distribution of the load on the lower limbs segmental distribution of the body fat at athletes high jumpers and long jumpers. The aim of this study is to perform segmental analysis of the body fat distribution on the dominant and non-dominant leg at athletes, high jumpers and long jumpers. Based on a correlation between the results measured by DEXA method and BIA analyzer Tanita BC 418 MA assess the sensitivity of the BIA analyzer on the body fat distribution during the segmental analysis. Studied group consisted of athletes whose main discipline is long jump or high jump. In these disciplines one (so called take-off) leg is used for the final performance. Measurements attended 19 athletes, 10 men and 9 women with an average age of 18.11 ? 2.88 years. Segmental analysis was carried out by BIA, using tetrapolar bioimpedantal scales Tanita BC 418 MA (Tanita, Japan). For verification of the results was used DEXA method utilizing densitometer Hologic QDR Discovery (Hologic, USA). To determine the degree of the correlation between the measured values of the lower limb by DEXA method and BIA was used the Pearson correlation coefficient. At segmental analysis values obtained by BIA was found out no statistically significant difference. Statistically significant differences were found out only at DEXA method values for bone mass. Evaluation of segmental analysis showed that the differences between the values of body composition parameters between the dominant and non-dominant leg are insignificant. The sensitivity of the BIA analyzer Tanita BC 418 MA segmental distribution of body fat in the lower limbs is similar as method DEXA. The correlation coefficient appeared relatively high, but we cannot estimate sufficiently accurate values of DEXA from the measurement by the analyzer Tanita BC 418 MA.
