Information and misinformation and their role in building trust

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá dezinformacemi a jejich rolí v budování důvěry. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí - teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části autorka popisuje základní pojmy z oblasti informací, dezinformací a důvěry. Vlastní výzkum je poté rozdělen do několika částí. Nejdříve autorka popisuje metodiku, jaké metody budou vybrány, jaký jej cíl výzkum a poté již samotné výsledky a souhrnné reporty. První metodou byl rozhovor s Alexandrou Alvarovou, dále byla použita metoda dotazníkového šetření, která si kladla za cíl zjistit, jak si respondenti ověřují informace, komu důvěřují a co je dle nich hlavním faktorem, proč lidé dezinformacím věří. Poslední metodou byla metoda focus group, která doplnila výsledky dotazníkového šetření o vlastní názor studentů. Poslední část práce jsou navržená pravidla, která při jejich dodržování umožňují rozpoznání fake news.

Abstract:

This Diploma thesis deals with Misinformation and its roles in building trust. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the author describes the basic concepts of information, misinformation and trust. The research itself is then divided into several parts. First, the author describes the methodology, what methods will be selected, what her target research and then the results and summary reports. The first method was an interview with Alexandra Alvarová, a furthermore questionnaire survey was used, which aimed to find out how respondents verify information, whom they trust and what they think is the main reason why they believe misinformation. The last method was the focus group method, which supplemented the results of the questionnaire survey with the students' own opinion. The last part of the thesis are the rules that, when followed, allow people to recognize fake news.
