Gambling from the perspective of social pedagogy

Abstract:

Závěrečná práce se zabývá hazardním hráčstvím jako sociálně {--} patologickým jevem, který současné společnosti přináší celou řadu problémů a to jak samotné společnosti, tak zejména gamblerovi a jeho rodině, příbuzným, spolupracovníkům a přátelům. V této práci nejdříve vysvětluji, co jeto patologické hráčství a jak vypadá vývoj závislosti na hazardní hře. Dále se věnuji sociálním aspektům patologického hráčství, jednotlivé fáze hráčství, ohrožené skupiny osob, vliv prostředí, zaměstnání i životních situací na možný vznik závislosti na hře. Dále shrnuji dosavadní zkušenosti a názory, jakož i terapeutické možnosti, včetně úlohy individuální i celospolečenské prevence.

Abstract:

This final project is concerning gambling as the social and pathological phenomenon. It brings a lof of problems not only to the society but to the gambler himself,his family, the colleagues and friends, too. In this project, firstly, I explain pathological gambling and the development of the addiction to the gambling games.Then I devote to social aspects of the gambler, the phases of gambling, the groups of people who are at risk, the influence of the environment, occupation and life situation which can cause addiction to gambling. I also resume the experience and opinions , therapeutic possibilities, individual prevention and the prevention of the whole society.
